As FMAC’s mission states, we hope to make organizations successful with FPGAs every time they seek our help. This is particularly true with industry. We want to be your “one stop shop” for finding the right people, tools and organizations to make your project successful. The FMAC hopes to assist industry in three ways.
- If you have a project that has a programmable logic component and you are having trouble with deciding on a design methodology or having trouble picking a specific programmable logic device, we can help. Our design engineers and students have years of experience and can assist you not only in this early decision process but through out the life cycle of the project. We provide a location away from your faculty and the necessary tools for real quality collaboration to occur. A good portion of this can occur through sponsorship of one of our graduate students. This puts a highly skilled individual to work on your specific problem. If you know that your team will need training on a specific software package towards a specific device, this person can help with solving your problems. If you have complicated algorithms you need developed into programmable logic, turn it over to a researcher. We have fully equipped training classrooms available for your use.
- Secondly, we can assist in professional education. If your personnel need help with getting started with programmable logic, we can offer courses in our location or at yours. Training can be tailored to your organizations specific needs. The type of training we offer includes our free workshops.
- Lastly, we can provide a source of highly educated and trained employees. Our undergraduates and graduates are some of the finest in the industry. We are in constant contact with the educators at NMT, NMSU, UNM and CNM. We can help to find the right individual with the right skill set for solving your programmable logic needs.
