Corporate Sponsorship

A portion of FMAC’s funding comes from corporate sponsors. Sponsorship provides a unique opportunity for corporations to have access to a valuable resource for conducting research that is too costly or too "far out" to be accommodated within a corporate environment. It is also an opportunity for corporations to bring their business challenges and concerns to the FMAC to see the solutions our researchers present.

Membership Levels

CORPORATE RESEARCH PARTNER
This is the highest level of Lab support. Corporate research partners fund larger agendas within FMAC, automatically become members of all of the Lab's consortia, joint programs, and special interest groups, have the right to an employee-in-residence, and two named graduate fellows.

FMAC RESEARCH SPONSOR
This level of sponsorship provides all the benefits of consortium sponsorship (see below) with the added benefit of an employee-in-residence within FMAC.

FMAC SPONSOR
The most frequently selected option, a consortium sponsorship connects a company with a group of other sponsors and FMAC faculty and research staff focused on a common agenda. These sponsors have access to all of the research conducted at FMAC, FMAC -wide visiting privileges, invitations to semi-annual sponsor-only forums, and full intellectual property rights.

AFFILIATE SPONSOR
This level of sponsorship introduces a company to the overall work of FMAC, and allows attendance at a consortium's semi-annual research meetings. A company may move on from this basic level (which includes limited access to intellectual property) to a higher level of sponsorship at any time.

GRADUATE FELLOWS
Sponsorship of a fellow is an opportunity for a sponsor to work closely with a principal investigator and a graduate student in a specific area of focus to better understand the research being conducted in FMAC. Student fellows can carry the sponsor's name, and can rotate annually.
