The University of New Mexico Electrical and Computer Engineering Department has a long history of sponsoring Xilinx Professor Workshops.  These workshops are an excellent way for Professors and other academic staff to become introduced to programmable logic. These workshops teach a wide variety of subjects ranging from introduction of programmable logic (including FPGA and CPLD) to System Generator and microprocessors. Microprocessor education includes training and education into virtual microprocessors (Microblaze) and embedded microprocessors (PowerPC).
